For those who aren't in the Loop: The City of Cape Town is nearing Day Zero, whereby all taps will run dry / be turned off and Capetonians would need to queue at collection sites for their ration of water. This won't affect many informal settlements as they already operate with a water collection system.
It was advised by Xantea Limberg (City of Cape Town Mayco member) that the CBD area (where we are situated) won't be affected by Day Zero and any potential water cuts. Thus giving us and the rest of the businesses in the CBD area immunity and keeping the tourism trade going. We are happy to keep our doors open to the public and will be doing our part to save as much as we can.
